Diploma in Theology

We offer a Diploma in Theology. All subjects conform to Bachelors degree standards. This Diploma is made up of two sections of the curriculum:

The Certificate and the Diploma consist of 120 credit hours each. A student completing both sections (240 credit hours) will be awarded the Diploma in Theology.

On completion of the Diploma a student will have earned 66% of a three year B.Th degree. The Bachelor program completes the 360 credit hours required by SAQA for a first degree. The final section of the program consists of a further 120 credit hours, which equates to an Honors Degree.

Amount of study time required
Students require 8 - 10 hours per week.
Time to complete the Certificate/Diploma
Bear in mind that 1 credit equals approximately 10 actual working/studying hours. The Certificate and Diploma are 120 credits each. 120 credits equates to about 1200 hours of actual work. Therefore, working at 10 hours a week, you will complete the course in 120 weeks. Divide that by 4 and you will have about 30 months, which is less than two and a half years. You can speed up the process for yourself by completing assignments before the due date and sending them in for marking while you continue with your next assignment.
